I saw that too, he just applied there highly doubt he's a member. He's got a forum membership, but anyone can do that. You could add this to his application, but after reading it I doubt they will consider it anyways.

well if he's a staff member it should mean he's a GM right?
meet up with him in a town and ask him to show his GM status
if he can't do it he's fake

notice how he/she says your gonna get a ban and says your account will be deleted, why would they ban you if their gonna delete your account?, just thought id point that as well just to add more proof that he isn't a mod

He is not a mod, GM, CSR or affliated with Anet in any official or even unofficial capacity. If there is any doubt on that issue, let's clear that up now.

Exactly. If Anet wanted you to change your name, they would do a temp ban and then make you change it before you could log back on. They will never contact you in game like that.
